The Access Control Deployment Committee (ACDC) is responsible for testing, deploying and maintaining the Physical Access Control system and its constituents. Historically, this committee was known as the Access Control Evaluation Group (ACEG).

The purpose of the Access Committee is to discuss, plan, and implement the various access controls that are needed in the Hackerspace. Our staple, recurring, project is cerberus-prox, which is the RFID tag controlled access control system for the hackerspace. It is used to open the doors, unlock access to tools that need certification, provide an auditing framework for volatile supplies, and allow for remote administration and logkeeping.

Our larger mission is to also provide access control for account logins, help maintain physical security, and provide an easy mechanism for hackerspace members to check out tools and purchase supplies.
